SPINEL CONTAINING CASTABLES
| Magneco/Metrel high purity alumina based castables that contain magnesia-alumina spinel for improved slag resistance. By causing a localized change in the slag chemistry at the contact area, aggressive slags are converted to milder slags and performance is improved. Additionally, the very high hot strengths of the MS products make them very resistant to high temperature erosion and are excellent materials for high wear applications such as steel ladle bottoms. | |||||||||||||||||||
