The colloidal silica binder system permits easy placement by casting, pumping or shotcreting and requires minimal dryout time increasing vessel availability. |
Application |
Metpump ASX 50 SC is recommended for hot or cold repair of high alumina linings such as reheat furnaces and blast furnace stacks. |
| Metpump ASX 60 JS |
Description |
Metpump ASX 60 JS is a proprietary, cement free, alumino-silicate,
pumpable refractory product intended for application
by pouring or pumping placement or for forming precast
shapes, which is supplied as a two component system,
including a colloidal silica binder. The patented colloidal silica
binder system provides self leveling refractory slurry that
allows rapid material placement by pumping and develops
strong bonding with no laminations, regardless of the time
intervals between individual “pours” or placements. Metpump
ASX 60 JS requires minimal dry out time*, which minimizes
component downtime and increases availability and in
service, exhibits exceptional hot and cold strengths and
resistance to thermal shock, chemical attack and abrasion. |
Application |
Metpump ASX 60 JS is recommended for new linings or hot
or cold repair or replenishment of existing linings, including
for process or reheat furnace sub hearths, working hearths
and roofs, hearth leveling layers, rotary kilns, D.R.I. and
iron carbide reactors, cyclones, rotary calciners and cement
preheater reactors and similar process and furnace applications. |
| Metpump ASX 60 SC |
Description |
Metpump ASX 60 SC is a proprietary, cement free,
alumino-silicate, pumpable refractory product intended
for application by pneumatic shotcreting, which is
supplied as a three component system, including a
colloidal silica binder plus Metset AC-30, a chemical
accelerant to induce rapid material setting at application.
The patented colloidal silica binder system provides an
easy to pump refractory slurry that at application utilizing
the accelerant that is injected into the pneumatic slurry
propellant, exhibits excellent adhesion characteristics
and minimal rebound waste. Metpump ASX 60 SC
requires minimal dry out time*, which minimizes
component downtime and increases availability and in
service, exhibits exceptional hot and cold strengths and
resistance to thermal shock and chemical attack by alkali
or acid. |
Application |
Metpump ASX 60 SC is recommended for new linings
or hot or cold repair or replenishment of existing linings,
including in the blast furnace, iron handling ladles,
reheat furnaces and similar metallurgical process vessel
applications. |
